Interactive Flipped Learning: Pets & "Have Got"

Welcome to a comprehensive, immersive digital language lab designed around the highly effective Flipped Classroom methodology! This interactive module focuses on the "Pets" unit, guiding young learners through animal body parts and the "have got / has got" grammatical structures before they even step into the physical classroom.

The 11-Level Immersion Process

Unlike standard flashcard games, this is a fully structured, 11-level language acquisition journey. Students do not simply click to win; they must actively engage multiple senses:

  • Listen & Identify: Students are exposed to native pronunciation while viewing high-quality contextual images.
  • Active Pronunciation: The module encourages learners to vocalize and practice speaking the target vocabulary, building deep auditory-vocal connections.
  • The 80% Mastery Goal: To successfully complete the module, students must demonstrate real learning by achieving a minimum overall score of 80% across all 11 stages.
  • Certificate of Achievement: Upon conquering the final level with an 80%+ success rate, students are rewarded with a digital certificate, proving their readiness for the upcoming lesson.

Pedagogical Value: Flipping the Classroom

This tool perfectly embodies the "Flipped Classroom" approach. By assigning this 11-level module as pre-lesson homework, students acquire the foundational vocabulary and grammar structures independently at home. Consequently, valuable classroom time is no longer wasted on basic memorization. Instead, teachers can immediately jump into higher-order thinking, interactive speaking activities, and deep communicative reinforcement.

💡 Tip for Teachers: The Certificate Ceremony Entry Ticket

To fully harness the power of this Flipped Classroom tool, assign it as homework a few days before starting the "Pets" unit. Tell your students that the "Certificate of Achievement" they earn at the end of the 11th level is their Entry Ticket to the next lesson! Ask them to screenshot or print it. When class begins, celebrate the certificate holders. Since they already know the words and pronunciation, completely skip the traditional board-writing phase. Immediately divide them into pairs and have them describe their own pets or toy animals using the "It has got..." structure they mastered at home!
