7th Grade / Unit 4 / Comparision

I use this material to show the grammatical rules of comperatives. With this I can show the three rules (-er, more, irregular adjectives). At first, the rules are presented. Then for each rule you can see an animated sceene. After the explanations the multiple choice section is given for the students to answer. In test section again, animated gifs are used. I hope it will be useful for your lectures. İ. Gürkan BOZKURT.

Comperatives and Superlatives ( It works like a power point slide )

Click on the "click" and be patient for the scene to flow and then click on "next". In this work you can teach your students how adjectives are used in comperatives and superlatives. You can show the rules one by one. Also you can show the irregular adjectives. And all those examples are illustrated with real life situations. So the examples are not just the words. Students can witness them as it is lived. Isn't is the purpose of learning a language. It is not something we only learn also it is something that we must live to learn. After the showing the slide you may give your students some topics to talk about. *What or who do they compare in their life? *What are they that their families compare them with other children? *What are the differences between X teacher and Y teacher? *Which football team do they support and why their team is better than the other teams? *Which smart phone is better? And why?...etc. İ. Gürkan BOZKURT.

Sunday, 14 April 2013 / the same as / different from - English animated video

This video is prepared by me to show how we use " same as/different from" in real life. You can use it as a pre, while or post activity according to your needs. In the video there is a father and a boy who has a project work about the similarities and differences in our environment. They have a video camera and record around. When they see something similar or different they make sentences. İ. Gürkan BOZKURT
