Was/Were- Find the difference
Click one by one and discover the difference between Past and Present forms of to be
Sometimes, it is hard to talk about the past and visualise it for the young students. It stands like something abstact. That is why we learn and understand past tense when we grow up and become a teenager. For these reasons I planned to make it something tangible and you can still see even if it is gone. So I made this material. Here the kids can see both the past and present. Also I tried to add some feelings (the little boy is happy at first but then he is very sad). This really affects the human being, our students(further, I 'm going to talk about it).
When I reflect it on the wall I want my students to talk about the present picture. Where are the animals, what are there in the picture, etc. I have them use simple present. But then I want them to look at the second picture which tells us something about the past. This time I have them use the target grammar point, simple past. Afer the slide, I want them to remember the past. If there anything changed or still the same. Is there any changes about their emotions like the little boy in the picture? Tell me... And write 10 things about yesterday or last week. 5 things that changed and 5 things still the same... İ. Gürkan BOZKURT.
